After an early part of the schedule that is a bit softer, the second quarter of their slate gets much tougher. Can the Chicago Bears get through this first hurdle an end the first half of the season in the driver’s seat?
A few days ago we took a shot at the Chicago Bears first four games and if everything goes according to our predictions they will be sitting 4-0 with one game left before their bye. It would be optimal for them to head into their rest week with a perfect 5-0 record because their schedule gets real tough after their break.
The good thing for the Bears is they alternate road and home games the rest of the way so they don’t have to worry about “road trips.” They only head out west one more time all year when they take on the Rams, but we will talk about that game later.
This next set of games will see matchups with players old teams, three playoff teams including the one that knocked them out and two of those teams were at the top of the standings for the whole NFL.
They will also face two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks not to mention some pretty good skill players.
If they could make it through this set of games undefeated then they would definitely be considered a Super Bowl favorite. This would be a tough stretch of games for any team and the Bears better be ready.
Hopefully, the offense is clicking at this point of the season and the defense is playing as well as last year. If they aren’t this could be a very long stretch of games. Either way, it should be very entertaining and give us a good idea of where the Bears are.
