4. Roquan Smith
Like Floyd, Smith was held back at times last season. Smith missed all of the preseason and training camps as he held out to get the right language in his contract. Last season when the Bears faced the Packers Smith was a rotational player who was still learning behind Nick Kwiatkowski.
What a difference a year makes. This year, Smith was fully engraved in the offense and Danny Trevathan handed the play-calling baton off to him for this game.
Smith was electric from start to finish. He was flagged for pass interference, but that was a better sell job by Jimmy Graham than an issue for Smith.
Smith set a ton with empowering tackles early, and held his defense in the game, helping hold Green Bay to 10 games. Mitch Trubisky had issues like the Bears quarterback, but they have a stud quarterback of their defense.
Look for a strong second season from Smith based on one heck of a performance in Week 1.
