2. Roy Robertson-Harris
There arguably is no bigger winner than Robertson-Harris. Think about the trajectory that he has been on. Roberston-Harris was a UDFA who was an edge player just a bit too big for the edge in the NFL.
The Bears slowly worked him to the inside and he beat out Jonathan Bullard in camp. By his third NFL season, he was a prime rotational player, but Bilal Nichols, a rookie starter to steal his thunder.
Now, RRH is in a contract year. He is a spot where he can make a lot of long term money and find himself being identified as an underrated player.
Robertson-Harris started off the most important year of his career with a bang. RRH had multiple tackles for loss to add to a first-quarter sack that set the tone of the game.
There is almost no way he can pass Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman or even Nichols on the depth chart.
However, the optimistic thought for Robertson-Harris is that he is the best fourth rotational end in the NFL, and with an interior group that goes four deep so easily, this defense is not going to stop giving up less than two touchdowns. Look for RRH to put the Bears in a tough financial spot to hang onto him.
