If the Chicago Bears do not answer these five questions soon, it will be a long season
Do not get it mistaken, the Chicago Bears season is not over by a long shot. You can look to just last season when the team lost to Green Bay in devastating fashion only to rally off a 12-3 finish.
However, the mark is on their back this season and they cannot sneak up on anyone. Also, more tape is out on Matt Nagy, Mitch Trubisky and the offense.
So, while the panic button is not pressed, we need to see the Bears answer some questions before believing they can rally off another playoff run. What are five questions they must answer ASAP?
5. What is up with Anthony Miller?
Many were anticipating a strong second season for Miller. Miller had a solid rookie season that featured seven touchdown receptions. However, he was playing with a serious shoulder injury through the majority of the year.
Miller was up and down all of last season, and if could stay healthy and get in tune with Trubisky, he could explode in year two. So far, he is behind the eight ball.
Miller played on Thursday, although he played just 17 snaps. That is four fewer snaps than Javon Wims. He had three fewer targets than Cordarrelle Patterson.
Miller has missed practice time with a lower leg injury. However, he was active and played.
This is where his status becomes a mystery. Could he have played more? Why did the Bears hold him back? Will Patterson and Wims really see snap shares like that?
Tarik Cohen took a lot of his slot targets, and while he put up eight receptions it came with a measly 49 yards. Is this trend going to continue? All of these smaller questions revolve around the bigger question that is Miller.
