3. Will Kyle Long become a liability?

The Chicago Bears are reliant on Kyle Long as much, if not more than Trey Burton. However, Long took a pay cut this offseason because he has missed at least eight games in each of the past three seasons. He is clearly at a point where injuries have taken over, and he is just hoping he can give the team another year or two to make a playoff run.

Considering the Bears depth, they need him as much as he needs them this year. However, his 2019 has gotten off to a poor start. Long was involved in a scuffle this offseason,  which does not sound like him.

Then, in Week 1 he was arguably the worst lineman of the group. Long had a miscommunication with James Daniels to allow a sack. He got bulldozed by Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary and finished the game being credited with a penalty, sack allowed, and seven pressures.

Long was frustrated this offseason, could it be because he knows he cannot back to his old ways? Is this what the Bears are going to get out of Long? Daniels is adjusting to center for the first time as well, but Long, more than anyone else looked lost. They cannot afford a bad year from him.
