Three keys for the Chicago Bears to beat the Denver Broncos
By Adam Childs
The Chicago Bears travel to Denver to take on former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and the Broncos. What must the Bears do to come away with their first win of the year?
The Chicago Bears entered this year with very high expectations with many even making them one of the favorites in the NFC. But after a very mediocre showing against the Packers last Thursday, they need to rebound on the road against the Broncos.
The Bears defense came ready to play and held the potent Packers offense to just 10 points, but Mitch Trubisky and company were only able to muster three points in a horrible showing. Head coach Matt Nagy took some of the heat as well as Trubisky, but either the offense must pick it up or they will be in for a long year.
Even with the struggles of the offense, they were still in a position to at least tie the game at the end of the fourth quarter, but Trubisky threw an interception in the end zone to end the threat. What made it even worse was former Bear Adrian Amos was the one that picked the pass off.
The Bears would get the ball back, but they couldn’t move the ball and the Packers ended the game with another sack of Trubisky. It was the fifth time that he was sacked in a game where he was pressured all night long.
The good news for the Bears is this is a very winnable game and they can get back on track and hopefully prove the first game was more of an exception instead of the norm.
So what do the Bears need to do to win the game? We take a look at three keys that will help them come away from Denver with the win and a 1-1 record.
