Being the only team in the NFC North to lose in Week 1, the Chicago Bears will enter Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season in last place in the division. Hopefully, that will be enough motivation to help the Bears get into the win column when they travel to the Mile High City to face the Denver Broncos.

Initially, looking at this matchup as a whole, it appears that Chicago will be in for another defensive battle for the second week in a row. However, Denver did struggle in their 24-16 Week 1 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Maybe things will be a bit different for the Broncos this time, considering the fact that the Bears will be matching wits with a familiar face on the opposite sideline.

More from Chicago Bears News

As far as keeping an eye on minor details for this Sunday’s contest, there are several things to choose from. One thing in particular is the injury report. Both teams have key players who as of right now has not participated in practice or were limited in their participation.

Bears tight end Trey Burton, who was inactive in Week 1, practiced on a limited basis with a groin injury, and is considered a game-time decision. As for the Broncos, cornerback Bryce Callahan (a former Bear) has not practiced due to a foot injury, and right tackle Ja’Wuan James has been sidelined with a knee injury he sustained in Week 1.

If these key players are a no-go this Sunday, then observing how their backups perform will be something to dissect. As interesting as the injury report is, there are other things that will have a much bigger impact on the outcome of this game. Here’s the top five things to watch in this Week 2 clash between the Bears and Broncos.
