Will Offense Wake Up?
Even if Trubisky does rebound from last week’s disappointment, will the Bears’ offense as a whole finally come around? For the first time under Matt Nagy, Chicago failed to score a touchdown, and managed to only put up three point in the entire contest in Week 1. Compared to the postseason loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, this offense took a step backwards from that performance. Over the last two games Chicago’s offense has played, they have only scored one touchdown.
The Bears’ only bright spot was wide receiver Allen Robinson II, who hauled in seven balls for 102 yards in Week 1, and recorded 10 receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles in the wild card loss. It’s nice to have one player do so well, but it would be much better if everyone else would meet that level of play. And of course, the play calling from the coaching staff has a lot to do with this.
