Quarterback
Mitchell Trubisky’s game versus the Broncos was pedestrian, to say the least. Compared to his performance in Week 1, the three-year pro had nearly half the passing attempts. Trubisky finished the game completing 16 of 27 passes for 120 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Despite the unimpressive numbers, the 25-year-old did show up when it mattered most. On the Bears’ final drive of the game, the offense was faced with a fourth-and-15 on their own 40-yard line with nine seconds on the clock. Trubisky avoided the rush by stepping up in the pocket and completed a 25-yard pass with one second left on the clock to set up the game-winning field goal.
