The Chicago Bears will need to win these five matchups to beat the Washington Redskins

Week 3 will be a telling game for the Chicago Bears. Sure, the Redskins are 0-2 and are not exactly lighting the world on fire. However, the Bears are not far from 0-2 either, and now get a road game on primetime against a team playing for their season.

If the Bears think this game will be easy, it will not. There is a lot that needs to be seen on each side of the ball to find out if this is a playoff team or not.

These five matchups will test the team and likely dictate the outcome of the game. Who has the advantage?

Khalil Mack vs Donald Penn and Morgan Moses

One of the more clear and obvious changes with the Chicago Bears defense this season has been the usage of their front. The Bears used to line Mack up against right tackles and put Floyd on left tackles. Now, the two move all over the line and get matched up on the opposite side, as well as against guards.

The Washington offensive line has been a bit of an issue so far. They are without their starting left tackle Trent Williams, who is one of the best linemen in the NFL. Donald Penn is a veteran but was signed in wake of the Williams questions. He has not been with the team long, and the group has not played cohesively.

The Bears are going to be able to move Mack around and get him isolated on Penn and others. The line will have to communicate well to understand who is coming from where. This could be a great matchup for Mack.
