Run game
David Montgomery established himself as the Bears top running back last week. After a 50/50 split, Davis hardly touched the ball while Montgomery piled in 18 rushes, including closing game work and goal-line work. The team is slowly moving to him as their workhorse.
This could be a great spot for him as well, as Washington is reeling in their run defense. They held the Eagles in the first half but lost Jonathan Allen in Week 1. From that point, the Eagles pulled away with the likes of Darren Sproles, Miles Sanders, and Jordan Howard.
The following week, Ezekiel Elliott went for over 120 on the ground. No, Montgomery is not Elliott. Still, he can do what the Eagles backs did.
The Bears are favored. Their defense has a good shot to hold Washington in check.
Trubisky may feel pressure from Kerrigan, but opening with a heavy ground attack will help take the pressure away. Relying on that attack with a lead can also result in chunk plays as a defense slows down.
Look for Montgomery to have a career game if the Chicago Bears can pull off a win.
