What are five surprising things that could happen in the Chicago Bears Monday Night Football game at Washington

Every week is a new week for the Chicago Bears. That is why we tune in. Something surprising is always is bound to happen. So, why not make a bold call. These will not necessarily hot takes, as they have some merit or reasoning to them. However, these could be looked at as best-case scenario projections.

With that in mind, what are five bold things that could potentially happen in this game?

5. David Montgomery goes over 100 yards

From six carries in week 1 to 18 in Week 2, we have watched Montgomery ascend to the number option rather quickly. On the road, in a prime time spot, the Bears will likely want to rely on Montgomery early to control the game flow and hopefully look to him late to put a win away.

That could mean yet another week that features a career-high in rushing attempts. The Redskins, on the other hand, have struggled early and often when it comes to the ground game. They have given up 336 yards on the ground through two weeks. If the Bears do not go over 100 yards as a team, it should be a disappointment.

So, despite Montgomery having 80 yards in two weeks, look for him to match that in more in Week 2. Look for Montgomery to go over 100 yards this week.
