The Chicago Bears released their inactive list and a surprising name is on there

Coming into the Chicago Bears Monday Night Football game at Washington, the injury report looked relatively clean. Anthony Miller and Trey Burton were back in the mix, and Eddy Pineiro was active despite a leg injury in Denver.

However, before the game a stunning inactive in Bobby Massie was announced. The announcement was surprising to all and no explanation has been given yet.

Massie has started 48 of the last 50 games for the Bears. He is not a great player, but has held down the right side well. The biggest issue is not losing the talent as Massie as much as it is throwing in the backup and seeng what the drop off is.

Most fans do not love Massie ,but they recognize he is starter capable. Behind him in Rashad Coward, a former defensive tackle who has been injured the past few weeks. He is active for the fist time tonight, so he  may get the start.

Aside from that the team has Alex Bars, who has mostly played guard, but has some tackle experience. Cornelius Lucas is another option, but he is a journey man veteran.

No matter who is starting this is a drop iff. Coward brings upside, but as much if not more downside. The rest bring as many questions. Matt Nagy is a smart mind but this will be tough to scheme around.

We will continue to monitor and find out why the inactive came about, so stay tuned to this post for more news and information. Massie was not on the injury report at all, so this may be off of the field or personal related.
