After two subpar performances to start the season, Mitchell Trubisky came through with his best game of the year thus far. Trubisky completed 20 of 23 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, and finished the contest 25 of 31 for 231 yards, three TDs, and one interception.

Despite the 116.5 QB rating, the three-year veteran still looked shaky at times. Trubisky continued to have inaccurate throws to open receivers. In addition, the 25-year-old was guilty of holding the ball too long at one point, which resulted in a sack that was almost ruled a safety for the Redskins. However, Trubisky’s most costly miscue was the red-zone interception he threw in the third quarter, which resulted in Washington scoring a touchdown on the ensuing drive.
