As mentioned earlier, Roquan Smith unexpectedly was a no-go in this game due to personal reasons. Fortunately, Smith’s absence didn’t set the Bears’ defense back. Nick Kwiatkoski didn’t miss a beat with the starting unit, ending the afternoon with nine tackles (team-high), a sack, and a forced fumble. All-Pro Khalil Mack added 1.5 sacks to his season total, while Danny Trevathan racked up eight tackles.
