The Chicago Bears win over the Minnesota Vikings was a complete team effort

The list of inactive for the Chicago Bears had some fans worried about a huge game hosting the Minnesota Vikings. Injuries throughout the game made that feeling worse. However, this was a team that stepped up to the plate and put in a group effort to get the win.

Players from out of the ordinary needed to step up, and the depth of the team stood out in the win. Who were five players that needed to step up to cement a win and did?

5. Javon Wims

When Taylor Gabriel went out, the player that we wrote who would have to take on the biggest weight was Wims. Anthony Miller primarily plays the slot, and Cordarrelle Patterson is closer to a backup running back than a wide receiver. Someone needed to stretch the field on the outside and that was Wims.

Wims did just enough and made an impact in this game. He caught four passes for 56 yards and kept the deep ball on the Viking minds just enough to open everything else up. Knowing that the Bears can now go about five wide receivers deep is a great feeling, and that includes Riley Ridley developing behind the scenes. A very reassuring performance from Wims.
