4. Nick Kwiatkowski

Roquan Smith not playing on Sunday was a big surprise at the last minute. We remember the last time Nick Kwiatskosi had to start for Smith. Smith held out of camp and didn’t start the first game of his career because of it.

However, the Packers attacked Kwiatkoski in coverage, and the Bears promptly pushed Smith into the starting lineup. Flashbacks appeared as Kwiatkoski struggled to follow Irv Smith on a crosser early into the game.

However, by the end, this game played much more at his pace. The downhill, running nature was great for him, and he was able to blitz against the pass and force Kirk Cousins to make bad decisions. Kwiatkowski finished the game with eight tackles and a sack. The run defense was much needed, and the performance was quite impressive. He certainly serves as a strong depth option when needed.
