3. Nick Williams

The Bears knew that Bilal Nichols would be out for this game. They also knew that there was a good chance that Akiem Hicks would miss this game. That is a tough spot to be in no matter what. They knew that Eddie Goldman would show up, and he certainly did.

Roy Robertson-Harris deserves to be on the honorable mention for this list considering how well he played as well. He picked up a sack and a half in the game. However, Robertson-Harris started last week.

Nick Williams has been a depth piece who typically would be inactive if both Nichols and Hicks were healthy. He is the definition of the depth on the roster. Against a run-first team that every intention of testing a defense without Hicks, Nichols, and Smith, it was a player like Williams that was the difference between a win and loss.

Williams put up two sacks in the game, and also recorded seven tackles. It was a memorable performance to say the least and was one that was needed for every last play. A commendable game.
