Chicago Bears: 3 keys to beat the Oakland Raiders
By Adam Childs
The Chicago Bears head overseas to take on the Oakland Raiders in London. Can the Bears defense continue to dominate and send the team home with their fourth straight win?
The Chicago Bears will head over to London to take on the Oakland Raiders in their last game before their bye. This is the end of their opening five-game stretch when the schedule was a little softer. We predicted the Bears to be 5-0 after this game and if they can come away with a win they would have come up just short of that, with their lone loss being to the Packers during the first week.
The Bears have been led by their defense which is no surprise but the offense has not progressed like we thought they would. Now through in the fact that Mitchell Trubisk8y is probably out with a separated non-throwing shoulder and the offense looks like they may continue to struggle to score points.
The Raiders come in a somewhat surprising 2-2 after upsetting the Colts in Indianapolis last weekend. They got ahead early and held off a late charge by the Colts in a tough game. The Raiders have looked good at times but have also given up 34 points to a Vikings team the Bears just held to six points.
Playing in London is always tricky because it messes with each team’s normal practice week and travel. The team that can adjust and play their game even with all the added distractions will have the advantage.
The Bears need this game to keep pace in the NFC North and what appears to be a very competitive NFC. We take a look at three keys for the Bears to get a win against the Raiders and head into their bye wee, 4-1 and at worst tied for the division lead.
