The Chicago Bears will have some questions to answer as they head into the bye week

Some teams do not like an early bye week, but for the Chicago Bears, it may have come at the right time. The team already had a couple of division tests, some road tests, and some primetime tests. On top of that, injuries came in bunches, leaving the team in a tight spot.

With that in mind, it is going to be a week where the team gets into the medical room, and the coaches get into the playbook to determine how to make the stretch run of the season one to remember.

What are five things that have to be answered

5. Defensive line depth

There is not going to be much about the defense when it comes to bye week questions, so we might as well start with the defense. Bilal Nichols and Akiem Hicks are banged up. For a while, it looked like the team may have what it takes to survive those losses.

Unfortunately, after a tough road trip to London, there has to at least be questions about the defensive line depth. Hicks has been in and out of the lineup and is not a sure thing when thinking about the next few weeks.

Nick Williams is a great depth piece until he asked to step into a serious role for multiple weeks. That is what makes him a depth piece. The team can shuffle and they have enough talent up front that this will not devasate them. However, with enough offensive questions, they can not afford to consistenly let runs break free.
