Boom

I decided to go a little more recent on this one. There were many other things you might hear a Chicago Bears fan say and I will lay those out in a brief runner up section. However, before we get to those, let us dive into the saying sweeping Soldier Field and Halas Hall.

The Chicago Bears were struggling with the culture in their locker room for many years. Essentially, this has been going on since Lovie Smith’s tenure came to an end in 2012. His record during that span was 81-63. He took the team to a Super Bowl and had one of the best defenses the NFL has seen during that span.

The Chicago Bears made a hire that set in motion the current roster the team has today. They hired Ryan Pace to be their General Manager. Pace brought in John Fox to lead his team and that ended up being a disaster. However, for one thing. Fox started turning the culture around on that team despite being a horrible coach in today’s NFL.

The team had enough of Fox and fired him in 2017. In came Matt Nagy. In came Club Dub. In came the “Boom”. The culture of this team is anything short of electrifying, even if the on the field results do not seem to be on par. Nagy’s offense has been struggling, but that does not stop them from bringing the Boom.

Now, you will hear Boom shouted on kickoffs. You will see Boom gifs on social media. Mitchell Trubisky might not be able to drop the Boom right now with his bum shoulder, but once healthy, I truly believe he starts to put some solid games together. Granted this will come down to the performance of the offensive line. The unit that has been the worst by far this season.

Although there might have been some stronger, better arguments on what other sayings should have made the top three, I just love the culture of this team too much to not include this one.
