5 underrated New Orleans Saints that must be accounted for
Who are five New Orleans Saints that the Chicago Bears must account for if they want to win on Sunday?
The New Orleans Saints going 4-0 with Teddy Bridgewater has been impressive. However, we knew that Bridgwater was good before his leg injury. His comeback has been impressive, and the time invested by Sean Payton is commendable.
We know of Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara, and the defense led by Cam Jordan and Marshon Lattimore. However, a team does not lose Drew Brees and truck right along without a complete team effort. The Chicago Bears will have to game plan for these stars, but will also have a complete team to account for.
Who are five underrated Saints players that need to be accounted for?
5. Vonn Bell
We know about Lattimore, and what he has done in the past few weeks. Amari Cooper, Mike Evans, and D.J. Chark all were held in check by Lattimore. You can expect Lattimore to follow Allen Robinson on Sunday.
On the other side, Eli Apple is a former first-round pick. He is much better in a spot where he can take the lesser player than Lattimore. With Marcus Williams ranging over the top, the defense is set up well for a player like Vonn Bell to move around and find matchups.
Bell has been able to find the football, and has three fumble recoveries with a forced fumble that he also took to the house for a touchdown. He is opportunistic.
Bell has38 tackles, two going for a loss with a tackle for hit. He can blitz, step into the box and take on the run, and defend slot receivers and tight ends. Look for him to take on Trey Burton often. With Burton slow to start this year, and Bell playing great ball, this could be a key matchup.
