5 matchups Chicago Bears must win Week 7
The Chicago Bears are going to have to get 5 impact from performances if they want to beat a 5-1 New Orleans Saints team.
The Chicago Bears come off of a bye to take on the New Orleans Saints coming off of a four-game winning streak. The Saints have been lights out without Drew Brees and is going to be a huge test for the Bears without Akiem Hicks and Kyle Long.
The Bears are at 3-2 and are not dead by any stretch. A win here would put them in great shape for the second half of the season. What are five matchups that the Chicago Bears can win to ensure that they will be able to get that fourth win of the season?
5. Khalil Mack and Leonard Floyd vs Ryan Ramcyzk and Terron Armstead
One of the ways to beat Teddy Bridgewater is to sack him. Bridgewater has typically been a quarterback to take a lot of sacks. He has 10 sacks so far this season. However, that is actually lower than his career rate. He is sacked on 6% of his dropbacks this year, with his career numbers just over 8%.
This is a testament to the Saints’ offensive line. The group has been excellent and has helped Bridgewater, led by their two-star tackles. Armstead was banged up last week but should be good to play.
Nonetheless, the Bears need to take advantage. Mack and Floyd move around and will play on the left and right side. They will both have their hands full. However, without Akiem Hicks, their need to step up and make an impact is higher than ever.
