With two weeks to recover from a dislocated left shoulder, Mitchell Trubisky didn’t come close to picking up where he left off when he threw three touchdowns in the Bears’ Week 3 win over the Washington Redskins. The third-year pro completed 34 of 54 pass attempts for 251 yards and two touchdowns. Don’t get too excited about those TD throws, because they came near the end of the game when Chicago was getting blown out.

Trubisky missed open receivers on numerous plays, and just didn’t look confident at all in his ability to lead this offense. Had he completed at least 10 of those 20 incomplete passes, his numbers would’ve looked much better, and the offense could’ve produced much more.
