2. Matt Nagy

The offensive line has him in a tough spot. However, Matt Nagy is not helping the offense right now. The lack of running. The over-creativity, if that is such a thing. It seems to be a thing with Nagy.

As mentioned, the team seems to have a plethora of versatile pieces. However, those pieces are only good in their respective roles. When they are asked to stretch beyond, they struggle. A good coach should be able to coach around talent. However, it seems as though Nagy has assembled pieces for his specific offense. Now, the pieces do not fit, and he does not have the offense he wants.

He is over-reliant on tight ends and does not have any. He gets away from the run far too easily. Still, he is not setting anything up in the quick passing or screen game.

Matt Nagy spent all offseason searching for a kicker. He was stunned by that miss. Now, he has a kicker and realized that the NFL adjusted to his offense, and he did not spend any time adjusting his own offense. This will be an interesting reflection point for Nagy.

It is not like handing the play-calling off will make anything better, who behind him is ready for that role? What does that say about an offensive play-caller of a head coach? Nagy has to work this out, and it may take him all season. Unfortunately, Bears fans have to ride the wave.
