Jake Fromm – Georgia

Ryan Pace seems to love players from Georgia. Leonard Floyd, Roquan Smith and Riley Ridley all came from the Bulldogs. Could he add another by selecting Jake Fromm. Fromm is on the bubble in terms of making the first round or not. Some way too early mock drafts have Fromm going as high as 12th overall, whereas others have him dropping into the second.

For Chicago Bears fans, the hope will be that he drops to wherever the Bears wind up picking from in the second round. Fromm is the complete opposite of Trubisky in regards to college experience. Trubisky only started 13 games while at North Carolina. Fromm has already played in 36 games as a Georgia Bulldog, with a few more to go in the 2019 season.

Fromm might be one of my favorite options if here. He does not have the elite arm strength, but he is extremely accurate with timing routes and his vision. He is able to decipher defenses and make consistent reads. Although he may not wow you with the exciting deep balls, he puts the ball in places that allow his receivers to gain valuable yards after the catch.

If Jake Fromm is available in the second round, Ryan Pace needs to draft him. I do not care if Trubisky finishes the year with 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. I think he would be a great fit for Matt Nagy’s offense.
