Entering Week 8 of the 2019 NFL season, the Chicago Bears will be looking to right their ship for the third week in a row. Hoping to avoid a three-game losing streak, the Bears (3-3) will host a Los Angeles Chargers team that is struggling just as they are.

The Chargers are on a three-game skid, and things aren’t getting better for them. With a laundry list of injured players, Los Angeles has four players ruled out for this contest, while five are listed as questionable. However, one person that will be on the field for the Bolts is quarterback Philip Rivers. The 16-year veteran is still playing at a high level. Rivers enters Week 8 as the league’s fourth-leading passer with 2,114 passing yards.

As for Chicago, the quarterback position isn’t looking as promising. Mitchell Trubisky’s performance has been looked at under a microscope by many as of late. Trubisky’s play has been so bad that NFL.com has ranked him as the worst starting quarterback in the league. With so much well-deserved criticism, it will be interesting to see how the second-overall pick from the 2017 NFL Draft will bounce back when facing a Chargers pass defense that’s fifth in the league.

Seeing how Trubisky measures up against one of the best arms in the NFL is one thing. Overall, the most interesting thing to see is how two teams that were in the playoffs last year will try to get back on track when entering the second half of the season.

In addition to that, there are five more things to keep an eye on during this Week 8 battle.
