The Chicago Bears have now lost three games in a row. With multiple red zone opportunities against the Chargers, we take a look at the play calls.

I am tired of writing negative articles about our beloved Chicago Bears. Unfortunately, I have very little positive notes to bring to the table today. The Bears completely blew this game. They had plenty of opportunities to put the game away but kept settling for field goals instead of touchdowns.

We can play the what-if game all night long, but the thing is the Bears offense was just not good enough again. Was it the play calling or the execution? Could it have been both? Before we dive into what I saw from the game (not having access to the all-22 tape yet) we should talk about how the Bears stole a game against Denver and now have squandered two other potential wins.

The team does not deserve to be winning, but they have been in every game except one all season. This might be what makes things more frustrating as a Bears fan. The blown opportunities this team has had all year. Not all the blame can go to one specific player either. Matt Nagy and Mitchell Trubisky deserve the brunt of it, but blame can go around to many.

I expected this team to play better. I expected this team to be a Super Bowl contender. This team is a pretender and their playoff chances are diminishing every week. Club Dub went out of business and honestly does not deserve to open again. If this team can string together five straight wins, maybe, just maybe they can bring back their dance party.

Alright, here is the breakdown of Matt Nagy’s plays and the execution that took place while in the red zone today. I am skipping the first possession inside the 20-yard line as they barely made it in, then lost yardage to move back out of the red zone and settled for a missed 33-yard field goal.

However, it is important to note that the Bears had two unsuccessful runs on this possession and that may have impacted Matt Nagy’s play-calling in the red zone the rest of the game.
