For the first time in the Matt Nagy era, the Chicago Bears are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. This skid is coming off the heels of a heartbreaking 17-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at Soldier Field. Although this defeat left a bad taste in the mouths of the team and its fans, there was some valuable things that was learned about the struggling Bears.

One thing is that even though they aren’t playing at the extremely high level from a season ago, the defense is still good enough to carry Chicago into the postseason. The Monsters of the Midway held the Chargers to just 231 total yards, recorded an interception, and didn’t give up many big plays. Of course, no matter how good a defense is, they are still liable to give up a play here or there. That’s where the offense should step in and pick up the slack.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Chicago’s offense continued to struggle, despite gaining 388 total yards from scrimmage. Besides seeing the defense’ consistent production on the field, what else did we learn about the Bears after their Week 8 loss to L.A.?
