NFC North Heavy Schedule

Bears are currently 1-1 inside the division with an opening day 10-3 loss to current division leaders Green Bay Packers (7-1) and a week 4 16-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings (6-2). Bears will have another crack at both teams down the stretch and two against Detroit Lions (3-3-1).

Four games inside the division can change the landscape for not only the Bears but the other teams inside the division as they will play each other. With the other division foes facing off against each other as well, they have an opportunity to get near the top of the division.

While the NFC North remains a strong division just like the NFC West, getting ahead of the Vikings could clinch a wild card spot. The team still has plenty of football left to play and if they can string together a few wins then fans will hop back onto the Chicago Bears hype train. The Bears are not out of the playoff hunt by any means as the rest of the NFC is bunched up after the top few teams.

Outside of the division Bears play potential wild card contenders including the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys. Winning these head-to-head battles will not only keep the  Bears in contention but also winning tie-breakers if the season comes down to it. Just like the Bears, while talented, those teams have had their share of troubles.
