The good news for the Chicago Bears is that the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings all loss in Week 9. The bad news is that the Bears were unable to capitalize on their division rivals losing all at the same time. This past Sunday, Chicago once again failed to come away with a victory. This time, their disappointing loss came at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles by the score of 22-14.
The entire game was an eyesore for fans. The first half featured the Bears (3-5) committing a number of penalties, and just not executing plays. The offense failed to convert on all six of their first downs in the first half. In addition they had five three-and-outs (six for the entire game), and gained a grand total of nine yards. The second half looked a bit better, but it was too little too late.

Chicago’s defensive unit committed four offside penalties in the first quarter alone, and surrendered a whopping 146 rushing yards for the entire game. The defense also allowed the Eagles’ offense to convert on four third downs on a 16-play, 74-yard drive in the fourth quarter.
Overall, this team looks like they have hit a wall and are completely unconscious. With this loss, the Bears are now riding a four-game losing streak and are falling further and further out of playoff contention. If there is a miracle in store for this team, it needs to start as soon as possible.
