The NFL trade deadline has come and gone. The Chicago Bears sat quietly, doing nothing while teams like the Rams solidified their defense. Looking back at how the Bears lost the last four games, Ryan Pace should have made one of these three trades.

Before we go into what trades the Chicago Bears should have made before the trade deadline, I need to talk about the team’s performance against the Eagles. It seems we have three camps of Bears fans and even analysts.

The first camp has the biggest following. These fans want to see Mitchell Trubisky‘s head on a wall. Alright, maybe they do not want to see him beheaded “Game of Thrones” style, but they definitely want to see him benched. These fans and analysts believe Trubisky is the worst quarterback in the NFL and should be nothing more than a third-stringer.

The second camp wants to put all of the blame on Matt Nagy. These fans and analysts believe that Nagy’s playcalling is not helping anyone, especially Trubisky. Questionable calls like in the red zone against the Chargers, abandoning the run early in games and not calling downfield plays more often is why the Bears offense is struggling.

Finally, the last camp, and honestly the camp I am a proud, card-carrying member of is the camp that believes the offense is struggling because of many problems. This camp does not put sole blame on anyone and believes it is a collective effort or actually lack of effort. The blocking schemes are not working. Mitchell Trubisky is not working. The play-calling is not working.

Making a trade, well, it might not have helped solve any of these problems. That said, if Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy wanted to try and save 2019, here are three moves they should have considered. One of these three would have likely helped this team in the end.
