If you have been to a Chicago Bears’ home game at all this year, and have managed to get into the gate early, you may have received or will receive a collectible bobblehead. Who do these collectors’ items represent and what’s the story behind each person who is their likeness?
The Chicago Bears are celebrating their 100th season this year. In honor of that 100th season, they are giving away a bobblehead figure for each home game that the Bears play. It’s a collectible gift to the fans and one that can be treasured for a long time.
As part of this, you have to be one of the first 20,000 fans to enter Soldier Field for the home game to get one. So make sure you are in line in time to get your free collectible bobblehead. The process has not been smooth sailing. The team has had hiccups on how it has handled things.
At one point you had to get a slip in order to get in a line to get your bobblehead. This was taking a very long time and people were missing the start of the game. Now it seems that they changed that and are handing out a certain amount at each gate as you walk into the stadium. If you want any chance of getting one, you will need to enter at least an hour before kickoff.
It’s one thing to have a collector’s item that could worth a lot of money someday while it’s another to understand who the player is behind the plastic figure.
That’s what this slideshow is here to tell you.
In the next few slides, we are going to take a look at the players behind the bobbleheads, how they got to the Bears and what their career was like.
Who are these men behind the bobbleheads?
Let’s find out.
