These two, way too early, 2020 NFL mock drafts have the Chicago Bears passing up on a quarterback in the second round for these positional players.

The Chicago Bears are still standing behind their former second-overall pick. Teammates and coaches have all said that Mitchell Trubisky is their quarterback. They all have faith in him and believe he is a great leader and player. These are the things you are hearing from inside Halas Hall. Outside of Halas Hall, most of the media, analysts and fans are screaming for a new quarterback.

It seems no one has faith in Mitchell Trubisky any longer. Some believe that even Trubisky has lost faith in himself. I am not buying that one, but he definitely is not playing well. No one can deny that he has regressed in 2019. I am not giving up on him just yet, but I also have stated the Bears cannot ignore the quarterback position this offseason.

I fully expect the quarterback room to look very different in 2020. My expectations are that both Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray will be gone. If I were Ryan Pace, I would be bringing in competition from both free agency and the NFL Draft. I am not wanting to pay Cam Newton a great deal of money to be the Bears next quarterback though. I believe that would be a mistake.

Some players I would consider bringing in for the right price though would be Marcus Mariota, Philip Rivers or Andy Dalton. Not great additions, but maybe one of these guys pans out. The other way the Bears can address the quarterback position is with the NFL Draft. The team has two second-round picks, but no first-round selection. My thought would be a quarterback with one of the two draft picks in the second round.

Well, two recent 2020 NFL mock drafts have the Bears skipping the quarterback position in order to draft these players instead.
