It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win. In Week 10, the Chicago Bears snapped their four-game losing streak with a much-needed victory over the division rival Detroit Lions by the score of 20-13. With this win, the Bears (4-5) now find themselves in third place in the NFC North, and still in the hunt for a wild card spot in the playoffs.
Overall, the offense still had problems racking up the yards, gaining only 226 total yards from scrimmage for the game. They also had seven three-and-outs throughout the contest, and a third-down efficiency of only 16 percent. However, the offense did manage to string together three consecutive touchdown drives, spanning the second and third quarters.

The defense’s performance wasn’t spectacular, but they did hold the Lions to 13 points, and also generated a takeaway and two sacks.
This win is the Bears’ second divisional win of the season thus far, and many more are needed in order for Chicago to keep their playoff hopes alive. In their final seven games of the regular season, three of their opponents were teams that made the postseason last year—including next week’s opponent the reigning NFC champions Los Angeles Rams.
Chicago’s coaching staff seems to have the team pointed in the right direction after a long dry spell. Now, can the Bears build off the momentum of this win and keep moving in that direction? Only time will tell. But as for now, let’s take a look at Chicago’s grades from Week 10.
