Secondary skill players not stepping up

Allen Robinson is clearly the top player in this offense. The Bears have also been able to get production out of Taylor Gabriel. However, Gabriel is a low-volume splash player who can add a shot or two per game but cannot consistently help an offense.

The Bears have needed secondary players beyond their top two to step up all season. Ben Braunecker caught a touchdown in this game but has been struggling to beat Adam Shaheen for a roster spot. Matt Nagy is admitting that Trey Burton is not close to 100% as he plays less than half of the snaps now.

Anthony Miller hardly plays as well and only saw two targets. One fell incomplete. On top of that, Cohen has not been any sort of impact, whether it be in the pass or run. He is dropping passes, and arguably is being used too much as a downfield receiver, and not enough as a runner.

Seeing Braunecker step up is nice, but without seeing progression from big names such as Burton, Cohen, and Miller it is still tough to say they turned a corner offensively. Especially considering the opponent.
