If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is the lack of due diligence that some football teams take when making decisions. The Chicago Bears need to attend the Colin Kaepernick workout on Saturday, if for nothing more than just to see what happens.

Alright. Let me preface this with the fact, I do not believe that Colin Kaepernick can help this Chicago Bears team in 2019. I could be wrong though. Maybe he looks phenomenal at his workout on Saturday. And the maybe is the reason why I am very upset with the fact that the Chicago Bears are not currently listed as one of the teams confirmed to attend.

Now, Ryan Pace himself does not necessarily need to be there. However, he does need to have a scout or two show up. If nothing else, but to make sure they get the type of film they want. Right now, it was announced that 11 teams have confirmed they will attend Saturday. Now, that does not mean more could decide to go before Saturday, but as of now, it infuriates me that the Bears are not included.

Of those 11 teams, Arizona and New England are the only two who do not have any quarterback issues going on at the moment. The Detroit Lions are attending and this could be important with Matthew Stafford dealing with his back and hip injuries again. Other teams include the Dolphins, Jets, Giants, Falcons, Browns, Broncos, Redskins and Buccaneers.

If Ryan Pace decides to blow this entire event off, I will be hard-pressed to call for him to be fired. I have always been a Pace supporter, but as someone who works in the legal field, due diligence is extremely important. As it stands, reports came out this week surrounding the decision-making process of taking Mitchell Trubisky with their 2017 first-round draft pick opposed to Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes.

Within this report, it talks about how Ryan Pace never even had a sit down with Watson. Pace never held a private workout with Watson. This again bothers me as someone who wanted the Bears to draft Deshaun Watson at number three. I have been and will still support Mitchell Trubisky, but Watson was always my guy.

Next. Why Colin Kaepernick will not be a Bear. dark

Here we are again though. If Ryan Pace does not do his due diligence and have someone attend this workout. If he blows it off and just watches the tape they receive from the NFL, then Pace is not the general manager I thought he was and maybe he needs to g
