4. Cooper Kupp vs. Buster Skrine

On the other end of the spectrum, the question is tougher when figuring out how the Bears will shut down Cooper Kupp. Kupp averages over seven receptions per game and leads the NFL in third downs converted for first downs. When stressed, Jared Goff has eyes on Kupp. While the Bears have Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara, the two play sides.

Cooper Kupp runs 71% of his routes from the slot. Fuller and Amukamara do not typically follow receivers into the slot. This means Kupp will be matched up on Buster Skrine. Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers completely shut down Kupp.

They kept their slot corner, Mike Hilton on Kupp, but bracketed him with Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick would line up in center field and crash down to bracket the slot. WIll the Bears use this with Eddie Jackson to help Skrine? If they leave Skrine alone on Kupp they are in trouble.

Expect the Bears to follow this game plan and force Goff to beat the team anywhere but the slot. If they do not, expect the Rams to put up points in bunches.
