When the schedule for the 2019 season was unveiled, many had the Week 11 matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams circled as one of the most intriguing games of the year. Now that we’re midway through the season, it’s not really looking that way.

With a record of 4-5, the Bears have greatly underachieved up to this point, and are desperately fighting to hang onto their postseason hopes. As for the Rams, the reigning NFC champions have taken a major step back from last year. Just like Chicago, L.A. is in third place in their respective division, and are trying to climb out of that hole.

In 2018, these two teams met in Week 14 at Soldier Field, where the Bears won 15-6. This game featured all defense, and very little offense. Defensively, both teams combined for seven interceptions and four sacks.

The two marquee defensive stars in this game have not put up the big numbers this season that their fans would like to see, but they are still vital parts of their team’s potential success in this matchup.

L.A.’s Aaron Donald, the reigning two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, led the league with 20.5 sacks in 2018, but only has six sack in nine games. However, Donald has recorded five of those sacks in the last four games. On the other sideline, there’s Khalil Mack. Chicago’s All-Pro outside linebacker finished his first year in the Windy City with 12.5 sacks, but has just 5.5 sacks entering Week 11.

Despite not quite wreaking havoc on opposing offenses like they did last year (at least not yet), both Donald and Mack are still highly capable of unleashing their rage at any given moment. That is the reason why all eyes should be on those two players this coming Sunday night. In addition to watching Donald and Mack, here are five other things to look for in this matchup.
