Cody Parkey

I know it is crazy to think about and will never happen, but Cody Parkey is available. He played in three games with the Tennessee Titans this season and has made all three of his field goals. He did doink an extra point, but his field goals were all over forty yards and one was over fifty.

Elliott Fry

Does Chicago bring back the kicker they chose Eddy Pineiro over? Fry has yet to be “the guy” for an NFL team, but maybe the Bears chose the wrong kicker? Elliott Fry was supposedly the more accurate of the two but did not have the distance Pineiro had. At this point, what is more important? Chicago might have a hard time though as Fry is set to play in the XFL next year.

Kaare Vedvik

Do you remember Kaare Vedvik? He was the Baltimore kicker that everyone wanted the Bears to bring in via trade this preseason. Instead, the Vikings sent a fifth-rounder for him, but cut him before the regular season even started. Maybe the Bears should give him a shot? He can’t do any worse than Pineiro right now.

These are just a few names. Others include Connor Barth (been there done that), Cairo Santos (yep, tried that too) and Nick Rose (seen his stats?). As you can see the options are not great. Maybe one of the other guys from the offseason competition should be brought back? Remember the names of Redford Jones and Chris Blewitt?
