This season for the Chicago Bears has not gone according to plan, so who’s fault is it that this team continues to struggle?

The Chicago Bears season has not gone according to plan.

After last season, many thought they’d fight back and win the division again and possibly end up in the Superbowl, but that won’t be happening.

After losing a very important game on Sunday night football against the LA Rams and dropping to 4-6 on the season, it’ll be very difficult to get back into playoff contention. Although they aren’t officially eliminated, you could easily argue that they were never even in playoff contention, to begin with. This season should be one to forget for us Bears fans based on how it’s gone thus far.

So who can you blame for the struggles this season? Matt Nagy, Mitchell Trubisky, or Ryan Pace? Well first off, I don’t think you can blame the quarterback, I know he hasn’t looked his best compared to last season, and he’s defiantly regressed, but it’s not his fault that the offensive line is terrible, the playcalling is terrible and his wide receivers can’t catch a ball.

I feel so bad for Trubisky, He wants to win and wants to be the franchise quarterback of this team, but he just can’t do it with Nagy as head coach.

On the flip side, I believe you can blame the coach all you want. Matt Nagy’s playcalling has been horrendous all year. Making Trubisky throw the ball consistently and won’t give the running backs a chance to establish the run. He cannot prepare a game plan properly, and he’s terrible at evaluating the opponents’ weaknesses.

Matt Nagy needs to give up playcalling going forward or he should be fired if nothing changes. He supposedly took out Trubisky late in the fourth quarter against the Rams because of an apparent “hip” injury. Many of us Bear fans just think he did that to save his job.

Maybe you can blame Ryan Pace? Who was the one who went out and signed Nagy to be the next head coach, and who went out and drafted Trubisky to be the franchise quarterback they’ve been waiting for?

A lot needs to change for the Bears next season if they plan on getting back to playoffs. Either fire Matt Nagy or Ryan Pace. Plenty of blame to go around, but we cannot blame this all on Trubisky. How about an “all of the above” option?
