The 2019 season is basically lost for the Chicago Bears. That said, the team still has six games to play. Here are my bold predictions for the game against the Giants.
The Chicago Bears season has been rough. Alright, even at 4-6, the season feels like the team is 0-10. With Super Bowl aspirations, only one significant injury and a top-five defense, the team’s inability to string together wins has been disheartening, to say the least. You got me again, it has been vomit-inducing.
Mitchell Trubisky was taken out of the game last Sunday due to a hip pointer injury. Many believe the injury was “fake news”, but after watching the film more closely, Trubisky was clearly hurt in the second half. How is it that he’s able to practice in full though? Come on Rob, do not be a blind sheep. Take off your Bear Goggles already and stop falling for Matt Nagy’s lies. I know this is what many of you are thinking.
However, after listening to John “Jurko” Jurkovic on ESPN 1000 on Monday, he talked about having dealt with one of these injuries and how it can be painful. He said it typically only takes two weeks to be able to heal and play, and with a cortisone shot, the timetable speeds up drastically. Olin Kreutz, another guy who is constantly critical of Trubisky put out on Twitter that Trubisky was playing hurt.
Pairing comments like these with my own analysis of the All-22 film, I undoubtedly believe Trubisky was hurt. His play dropped off significantly between the first and second half, even during the touchdown drive. It seems he will play though and that brings us to my bold predictions for this week.
