The Chicago Bears avoid disappointment as they went on to beat the New York Giants at Soldier Field.

The Chicago Bears avoided disappointment as they got the win against the 2-9 New York Giants on Sunday at Soldier Field by a final score of 19-14. By all means, it wasn’t necessarily a “perfect” game by the Bears but at least they got the job done, and now improve to 5-6 on the season.

Heading into this game, Bears fans looked at it as an “easy” win based on how the Giants season is going, and they are steadily in the mix for a top 5 draft pick once again. Even the Bears season hasn’t gone according to plan, but they are much better on paper than the Giants.

A win is a win in my eyes. Even though they won against a 2-9 team, they should still celebrate it and feel good about themselves.

As Bears’ fans, we know that Mitchell Trubisky hasn’t lived up to his potential thus far this season and has been under a lot of pressure. He’s been pretty awful so far, but ended up playing one of his best games of the season and helped lead the Bears to their fifth victory.

Trubisky went 25/41 with 278 passing yards, with one touchdown and 2 interceptions. Looked sloppy in the first 2 quarters of the game and only put up three points. However, he came out of the second half on fire.

The main target for Trubisky, Allen Robinson did nothing but ball out. He ended up catching 6 passes for 131 yards and one touchdown. Robinson is such an underrated receiver in this league and is by far one of my favorites.

Anthony Miller seems to be back to somewhat himself after showing up in the last two weeks. Hauling in a total of 12 catches for 131 yards the last two games.

Khalil Mack made an impact for the first time in a while too. He forced a fumble on Daniel Jones that led to Trubisky’s first rushing touchdown of the season which helped the Bears extend their lead. Mack was looking to turn things around and the Bears needed him to step up, and he did that. If Mack can get back to what makes him such a talented player on the field down the stretch of the 2019 season and into the start of the 2020 season, then the Bears defense is in good shape.

All around good performance for the Bears offensively and defensively.

As Week 13 approaches, the Chicago Bears have a quick turn around and a busy week. They head to Detriot to face off against the Lions on Thanksgiving. If the Bears can win this game, it’ll be two straight wins and they’ll be back to .500. They’ll possibly be facing Jeff Driskel once again and they already beat him in Chicago, so why can’t they do it again?
