The Chicago Bears found a way to defeat the New York Giants on Sunday. The win was not pretty, but at least they came out with a victory. The game featured a tale of two quarterbacks or least two versions of Mitchell Trubisky.

The Chicago Bears came out flat on offense once again. A quick three and out after Eddie Pineiro flipped the field in the Giants favor by kicking the ball out of bounds on the opening kickoff. At least their next drive was more successful.

Mitchell Trubisky led the Bears 67 yards over 12 plays. He had some solid throws but eventually, the drive ended with Trubisky throwing an interception in the end zone. A throw to Ben Braunecker a few plays earlier looked to have been a sure touchdown, but Braunecker dropped a perfect pass from Trubisky.

This has been a problem for the Bears this season. After being one of the most sure-handed teams in the NFL last season, the Bears were the second-worst team with 17 dropped passes going into Sunday’s game versus the Giants. That number went up as both Ben Braunecker and Tarik Cohen each had a drop in this game.

The Bears fell behind early as the Giants took a 7-0 lead. The Bears bounced back though and drove down for a field goal to pull within four. The Bears came out after halftime with more of an up-tempo. They moved the ball down the field with ease. Five plays and 55 yards later, Trubisky hit Allen Robinson for a nice touchdown throw. Robinson ran a great route to open things up.

The Bears scored another touchdown and field goal in the third to go up 19-7. Unfortunately, the defense let up another touchdown in the fourth and the Giants found themselves within winning distance. The Bears defense did just enough to keep them at bay though and won the game 19-14. They now find themselves one game below .500 on the season.

This win was great, but Mitchell Trubisky looked to be two different quarterbacks out there.
