As we find ourselves in the holiday season, we should all reflect on the year and what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving. As hard as it is to fathom, even the Chicago Bears have things to be thankful for this year.

The Chicago Bears season has been a roller coaster of emotion. The year started out with high expectations that they would not only find themselves in the playoffs once again but also be legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

During both the Bears’ and NFL 100 year anniversary, fans were chomping at the bit for the season to start. After a disaster of an opening season loss to the Green Bay Packers, the team was able to string together three wins to start the year 3-1 despite some poor performances by the offense. Club Dub did not stay open long as the Bears quickly found themselves under .500 on the year.

With a team playing so poorly, how could one remain positive? How could anyone believe that this team is anything more than a one-year wonder? Where does Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy take the team from here? Is Mitchell Trubisky a complete bust of a quarterback? Has Pace set the franchise back years in the making with his aggressive draft picks that have not panned out?

These are all questions that I have heard constantly over the last few weeks as the team fell further and further out of playoff contention. As the team settles in for what they hope to be a Thanksgiving feast of Lion meat, I wonder if the team hs anything to be thankful for this holiday season. Shockingly, I was able to come up with three things.
