What if Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears decided to stick with Trubisky in 2020 instead of spending money or using a draft pick to get a new QB?

The Chicago Bears have a lot of decisions to make during the offseason for the future of this football team, so what if they decide to stick with Mitchell Trubisky as their starting quarterback instead of going out and signing a guy like Cam Newton or Marcus Mariota or even drafting someone like Jake Fromm or Jalen Hurts. They can use the money somewhere else and improve the team elsewhere.

At the halfway point of the 2019 NFL season, many Bears fans wanted him out of Chicago, and people were already talking about bringing in Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, and Marcus Mariota as potential replacements. But so far in the second half of the season, it possibly has changed the minds of some on how they feel about Trubisky, and honestly, I would not mind if Trubisky ended up being the starter next year.

I’m also starting to think that it’s too early to give up on a 25-year-old quarterback who is only in his third year in the NFL. Look, we’ve seen what Trubisky can really do, just look back at 2018 and see how special this team was with him and Matt Nagy. I just have to believe that we can get back to that form next year in 2020.

I think that Pace will look at how Trubisky performs the rest of the season, and that’ll determine if he’s going to be the starter in 2020. Trubisky carries a $9.2 million dollar cap hit next year, but it can be lowered if they were to pick up his fifth-year option. If they pick up his option, it will give him another year with the Bears. Depending on how he performs will determine the future of Mitchell Trubisky.

Heading into the 2019 season, people actually believed that the Bears would contend for a Super Bowl and that Trubisky would be in the MVP conversation. Trubisky obviously will not win the MVP Award, but the Bears playoff hopes are still alive (slightly) after coming away with a win against the Detriot Lions on Thanksgiving.

How would you feel if Pace and the Bears decided not to bring in another quarterback to compete with Trubisky for the starting quarterback job in 2020?
