The Chicago Bears won the NFC North in 2018 and found themselves atop the NFC North in regards to fandom in 2019.

When it comes to the 2019 season, many disappointing factors are at play. With a great deal of help, the Chicago Bears have the smallest percentage chance at reclaiming the NFC North crown they took home in 2018. They have a slightly better chance (still minuscule) at making the playoffs as a Wild Card team. Do not fret though Bears fans We (not the team, but actually you and I) have found 2019 glory despite the team’s struggles.

That is right. FanSided has released its 2019 FanSided 250. This is a grading system (do not worry, it is better than the grading system that shall not be named) used to determine the hottest fandoms of 2019. The Chicago Bears find themselves 38th overall, but as high as 5th among NFL fandoms. Personally, I think the Bears should easily be number one, but I am clearly biased as I assume most of you are as well.

The Bears find themselves trailing the Chiefs, Browns, Saints, and Cowboys. I will never understand the fandom that sits behind the Cleveland Browns. My guess is they are up this high for 2019 based on all of the offseason hype surrounding the team. However, the team is already imploding. I have a feeling that Believeland is falling apart too and the Browns do not make the top five in 2020.

As the Bears playoff hopes are faltering, at least we can be excited that the team is still the King of North in one area. That is right, as the fifth-best NFL fandom in the top 250, that means the Bears are crowned King of the NFC North of the FanSided 250. Let us see how badly the other three teams in the North did, shall we?

Where does your fandom rank?

See 2019 Rankings

Packers – 6th (NFL) / 44th (Overall)

Well, we do not have to look far to find the Packers. They came in sixth among the NFL fandoms, but 44th overall. That gives the Bears a six-spot advantage over their rivals to the north.

Vikings – 12th (NFL) / 109th (Overall)

The Minnesota Vikings might be second in the division and in position to take a Wild Card spot in 2019, but from a fandom perspective, they continue to be dominated. The SKOL fans did not come out enough in 2019 as the team finds themselves 12th among the hottest NFL fandoms and 109th overall. I guess they can at least be happy to be in the top half of 250 hottest fandoms.

Lions – Nowhere to be found

Ouch. This is not surprising though. The Detroit Lions did not make the FanSided 250 hottest fandom list. What is worse is that teams like the Miami Dolphins (17th / 159th) and Washington Redskins (22nd / 194th) mad the top 250. As hard as the diehard Lions fans try every season, they will always be the bottom feeders of the NFC North and close to the bottom of the NFL altogether.

Next. Keep, trade or release this player?. dark

Maybe this is a sign of what is to come and the Bears somehow find a way to run the table versus the Packers, Chiefs and Vikings. Then, by some miracle, they find their way into the playoffs and go on to win the Super Bowl. Alright, I might be dreaming, but I will not quit until the curtain drops. First up, the Green Bay Packers.
