Jordan Love

Yep, the 2018 name that many floated out there as a possible first or second-round pick is now likely to fall into Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft. Jordan Love had a very disappointing 2019 season, but he has shown enough flashes and tape for NFL teams to still be interested.

In 2018, Love was a dominant force for Utah State. Some latest mock drafts still have Love going as a top target. In fact, one Yahoo mock draft has Love going fifth overall to the Miami Dolphins. If any team takes Love in the first round, they will be strictly going off what Love showed he could do in 2018.

In his sophomore season, Love threw for 3,567 yards, 32 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He completed 64 percent of his passes and added seven more touchdowns on the ground. Love looked like a legit first-round option.

2019 was not as kind to Love. He still threw for 3,402 yards, but only threw 20 touchdowns. To make matters worse, Love threw 17 interceptions and did not score any rushing touchdowns. Love only led Utah State to a 7-6 season this year too. This is after an 11-2 season in 2018 where the team went on to dominate in their Bowl game. This is a tale of two very different seasons for Love.

If the Chicago Bears are able to land Love late in the draft, the hope is they find the quarterback who found great success in 2018 as opposed to the quarterback who struggled in 2019.
