Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears are committed to Mitchell Trubisky in 2020, but they should still bring in some type of competition. Could Tom Brady be an option?

After the 2019 season ended for the Chicago Bears, General Manager Ryan Pace and Head Coach Matt Nagy addressed the media for their end of the year press conference. Pace said that they are committed to Mitchell Trubisky in 2020, but they have yet to decide if they’ll be picking up his fifth-year option.

Although Pace said that they are committed to Trubisky as their starting quarterback in 2020, as a Bears fan I still believe that they should bring in some sort of competition to maybe push Trubisky a little more. There is a lot of ways they can address it. They can bring in a rookie during the draft, or they can go out and sign a veteran.

As a Bears fan, I still believe in Trubisky as the quarterback of the Chicago Bears and want him to succeed. However, if Pace has the chance to sign someone like Tom Brady to bring him in and help with developing Trubisky into the guy that Pace thought he was, why not do it?

After the Patriots loss to the Tennesee Titans in the AFC Wild Card game, Brady addressed the media and was asked if he’d consider retiring. Brady said that it’s unlikely. He’s a free agent for the first time in his career and would be such a huge help in the development of Trubisky. Brady could teach Trubisky a lot of things about winning.

Brady is a guy that everyone in the league wants to play with. If he were to come to Chicago, he’d already have a top defense in the league. On the offensive side of things, he’ll have Allen Robinson, Tarik Cohen, David Montgomery and Anthony Miller. That would be one of the most talented group of offensive weapons Brady has seen in years. Not to mention if they had Brady throwing them the ball. Wow.

Although Brady to the Bears may not actually happen, us Bears fans can dream right? The rumors are that they are fully committed to Trubisky as the starter for 2020 or they bring in a veteran to have someone to push and compete with Trubisky.
