Quarterback

A lot of fans will consider this the clear cut number one issue. However, from what he heard from the Ryan Pace end of the season press conference, it may not be his most pressing one. He still believes in Mitch Trubisky, although he did not commit to a fifth-year option for him.

He knows that they have two roster spots at quarterback to fill as Tyler Bray and Chase Daniel are free agents. He has to fill those spots wisely. The last two years have been about building up Trubisky. Now, they need to compete with Trubisky.

The veteran route will have to be explored, as names such as Andy Dalton and Teddy Bridgewater pop up. The draft has to be explored as well. The heat would get turned up if a young face who thinks he can be a starter is entering the building.

Going with the presumption that they are not lying, and Trubisky will have a chance to start, they need to be precise with their additions. They cannot spend a lot, as they plan to build around the quarterback, but cannot be caught with a great roster and a lack of a starting quarterback. It may not be the most pressing need in terms of replacing a week one starter, but the moves that this team makes at quarterback are the most important.
